Traumainformed Coaching

“Paradoxically, the more we try to change ourselves, the more we prevent change from occurring. On the other hand, the more we allow ourselves to fully experience who we are, the greater the possibility of change.”

Laurence Heller

Classical coaching is trying to “bring you somewhere”. I carry a deep belief in me, that your own nervous systems’ intelligence is guiding the way towards “somewhere”. The only ingredient that was and is often missing is the right attuned relationship to that what is the good reason to not automatically go to that “somewhere”. In my sessions we will somatically and intellectually explore the good reasons to grow and the good reasons to not grow. And almost magically this opens the possiblity for sustainable change that is deeply rooted in the nervous system.

Inspiration

Life persistently invited me to look inside by letting me suffer from depression and diverse somatic symptoms. Since then my own journey towards less suffering became the guiding star for my work with others.

I am inspired by Laurence Heller’s and Thomas Hübl’s work- both focussing strongly on the nervous systems’ own intelligence to define the speed at which integration processes happen. Through the focus on our relationship to our defences instead of cracking them open they have a chance to melt away.
